I am a 47 year old adoptee looking for my 77 year old birth mother. I was born July 29, 1959 at Greenville General Hospital in Greenville SC. Dr. W.C. Hearin, Jr delivered me per my amended birth certificate. Greenville is not my birth mother's home. She only stayed in Greenville from June 1959-August 1959 on the 15th floor of some apartments named Towers East Apts or Calhoun Towers across from the Library Parking lot. She was 5'10" 124#. She drove a French Sports car. She chose not to tell my birth father that she was pregnant so he has no idea that I was born. Children's Bureau of SC handled my adoption. The agency named me "Elizabeth Ann." I was dc'd from the hospital to a boarding house 8 days after birth, then was moved to a total of 3 boarding houses before my actual adoption took place. I was adopted by 2 wonderful people on September 4, 1959 and have had a great life ever since. I would completely understand if you would not want to meet me face-to-face. All that I ask is for you to give your consent to open my adoption records so that I may look for any medical info you may have given 47 years ago. Thanks! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
