Charles Peter FRANCIS (Charlie) was born at Plymouth 1876 to Charles Peter FRANCIS and Mary Ann SANDERS. He was a seaman and later emigrated to Tasmania, Australia, where he married Ellen Rosetta WILLIAMS on 8 Dec 1898. They had 7 children - Charles (Jack), Charlotte, Rose, Coral, John (Harry), Tasman and Sydney. Sydney (Sid) FRANCIS, in Victoria, Australia, corresponded with Charlie's sister on Guernsey Island for a number of years. His family has a street photo of her which has the following stamped on the back: Arcade Photos, 41 Commercial Arcade, Guernsey, Channel Isles. Quote No. D5045.
