I am searching for any information regarding my great-grandfather, William McCrea. I have his death certificate. He was born on July 19, 1882 in Ireland, county unknown. He died on August 9, 1951 in Chicago,(Cook County) Illinois. The address listed is 6649 S. Ashland Ave. According to the certificate, he had resided in Chicago for 40 years at the time of death. He did not have a Social Security number. His occupation is listed as a furniture upholsterer, but I do have pictures of him when he was a guard at the Art Institute of Chicago, taken sometime in the 1940's. His father's name was Arthur McCrea. His mother's maiden name was Elisa Chesney. His wife's name was Mary McCrea. He is buried at Holy Sepulchre cemetary in Worth, Illinois.
