GEORGE WHARTON MID 1700'S OF KIRKOSWALD, WIGTON CUMBERLAND MRD ELIZABETH PURDOM IN 1799 - DAUG JANE WHARTON MRD HENRY SPARK OF EDDERSIDE, WIGTON CUM IN 1825. SURNAMES - WHARTON, PURDOM, BROWN, SPARK, BROUGH, ROBINSON, OSTLE, GIBSON, SKELTON, POOL, HARRISON AND HOLLIDAY. My 4GR grandparents George Wharton and Elizabeth Purdom mrd April 14, 1799 at Kirkoswald, Wigton Cumberland England. Their children were JOHN, JANE, WILLIAM, MARY, GEORGE, ELIZABETH, SUSANNA, JOSEPH AND LANCELOT WHARTON. I only have evidence that John and Jane Wharton married and had children? John Wharton brn ard 1800 at Kirkoswald mrd Mary Brown in 1847 reg at Carlisle. They had a daughter Mary Jane Wharton brn ard 1847 reg in Wigton. John Wharton died in 1870 at the age of 70. I could not determine what happen to Mary Jane Wharton or her mother Mary. Jane Wharton (my 3GR grandmother) brn ard 1801 in Anistable in Cumberland mrd Henry Spark May 28, 1825 at Holme St Cuthbert, Cumberland. Their children were Deborah, Betsey, Mary, William, George, Jane, Henry, Ann (my 2GR grandmother), Margaret, John, Sarah, George and Martha Spark. Deborah Spark mrd John Brough. Betsey Spark mrd John Robinson. Mary Spark mrd William Ostle. Jane Spark mrd Thomas Skelton. Ann Spark mrd Louden Pool. Margaret Spark mrd William Harrison. Sarah Spark mrd Dan Ostle (brother of William Ostle). George Spark mrd Jane Annie Holliday. Martha Spark mrd John Robison. My gr gr grandmother Ann Spark who mrd Louden Pool immigrated to the US ard 1888 and their son James Louden Pool settle in the US and their daughter Annie Pool (my gr grandmother) mrd George Reid of Cockermouth and they immigrated to Saskatchewan Canada ard 1910, were I was brn.
