I am researching Anson Jones born circa 1844. He was in the Union Civil War Co., I, 12th. Calvary. After his discharge he went to California. He married Catherine Agnes Dougherty in San Francisco in 1875. They lived in Placer County or Nevada County California until his death in 6-24-1898 in Placer County, California. He died at home between Forest Hill and Colfax. They had: Blanche Jones who married Mr. Gibbs, Earnest Jones, William P. Jones and Albert Jones. Catherine and children lived in Sacramento, California where she died in 1954. Anson Jones had brother Willis Jones, Barnabus Barny Jones, Samuel Jones and Newton Jones.
