My grandfather Irwin(?) Bignell's family came from Fargo, North Dakota and settled in Big Valley & Stettler Alberta in the early 20th century. Two major groups of Bignells settled from the U.K. into Nova Scotia & Quebec as well. Does this ring a bell with anyone out there?
