I am looking for information on William Bertrim/Bertram born 1777 in County Cavan, Ireland. He married Eleanor Abigail Milner and they had 4 kids in Ireland: John (b. 1805), Henry (b. 1807), Abigail (b. 1810), and Margaret (b. 1806). His daughter Abigail married an Irish man named Dawson Beatty and Margaret married an Irish man named John McGuire. I have no idea what happened to Eleanor. He then married Jane McKay/McKeague and they had 7 kids, all who were born in Canada except oldest son James (b. 1820). William and his 11 kids and wife Jane came to Canada in 1820 aboard the "Commerce" from Ireland by way of Greenock, Scotland. He settled on the south-west half(100)acres lot 6, con.12 of Lanark Twp, Lanark County Ontario on September 1, 1820. Any help would be appreciated! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
