I'm looking for my birth mother. She was born in Blackpool England as Benita Gustafson on 3/3/41 to Olive Braithwaite (my grandmother) and Jesse Raynold Gustafson. She was 15 or so when she gave birth to me in Oakland, CA, USA at Highland Hospital. I was adopted by Si and Miriam Gershenson. I still live in the Bay Area in Fremont, CA. UPDATE: I have found my birth family! So many people were helpful on this website. Sadly my mom passed in 1983 (very young) but I have a sister and brother who live within 1/2 hour from me. We spoke last night and it was bittersweet, weird, shocking, undescribable, as I'm sure most of you can relate. The really weird thing is I met my sister before - about 23 years ago - she was my chiropractor for a while. We really hit it off then as we were 3 years apart - isn't it interesting how God works sometimes. Today (12/15) is the anniversary of my mom's death and tomorrow I turn 50! Quite a year if you ask me. I guess it was time for closure and moving on. Luck to all still searching!
