I'm looking for information that was submitted to The Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the HOUSLEY Family. Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation has DNA that was submitted claiming lineage from this line. I'm a LINDSAY and I'm part of the International LINDSAY* DNA Project. I submitted my DNA almost 5 years ago in 2002. My profile or markers are consistent with other LINDSAY's spelled various ways. I also submitted my DNA to SMGF earlier this year. I used their database using my allele markers and this HOUSLEY family listed below matches my DNA profile. We have a common ancestor or TMRCA with a match of 36 out of 37 markers meaning somewhere or somehow almost 217 years ago or about 7 generations we have a "MALE" HOUSLEY that was a LINDSAY or similar spelling that was adopted by a HOUSLEY. I would love to hear from someone that might know the answer to this puzzle. Approximately in 1789 or so is when this took place.
