Looking for relatives of/info on ggg-grandparents Albert Alich (alt. spelling Ahlich) and Louisa Schubert. Both were born in Neuwalde, Krels Neisse, Upper Silesia, Germany (now in Poland), Lousia in 1840 and Albert about 1841. Louisa died in 1893, Albert in 1903, both in Germany. They had 7 children; 2 of which stayed in Germany. Anne (b. 20 Jan 1876, d. 11 Jul 1941) appears to have had a bastard child (Joseph Ahlich, who married a woman named Martha and had at least 3 children) before she married Carl Hocke. She and Carl had two sons who were missing in action at the end of WWII: Aloys and his wife Anna had a son and daughter, and Carl Hocke Jr. and his wife Gertrude had a daughter before the two men disappeared. Thier sister Martha married Joseph Weidner and had 4 children-one son died while being chased by the Polish from Silesia to Germany. Martha passed away Oct 1971. Albert and Louisa also had a son Albert-born some time after 1877-who died at age 13 in Germany. Their remaining 5 children immigrated to the US: Emil (m. Othelia Tutewohl and then Pauline Piepereck), Emily (married name Juettner), Agnes (married name Tutewohl), Lousie (aka Pauline, married name Gruidl, had no children), and Karl Charles (m. Millie Louise Morloch). For more information on descendants in the US, contact me or see seperate posts. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
