My birth mother, who at the time of my birth at St Helens Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, was Pamela Elizabeth Roberts. Her date of birth is 11 November 1950 and her family comes from Dargaville where she grew up. Her last known address was Bairds Road in Otara, Auckland. I have obtained my birth certificate and hers which unfortunately were destroyed last year in a house fire, but I have memorised most of the details. I have previously searched births, deaths and marriages in Manukau and had no luck at that time, which was over 10 years ago. Pamela was 21 when she gave birth to me, she was on holiday in Australia where she become pregnant and then travelledback toNew Zealand where she had me and named me "Dudell Roberts" on my original birth certificate (there were no vito's on either of our birth certificates. I can't remember her mothers name but her father is Theodore Kitchener Roberts from Dargaville and Pamela had a few brothers and sisters. Theodore was one eigth Maori blood. It is possible that she may have travelled back to Australia after my birth, or gotten married since then.
