I am still looking for my husband's great grandfather Jan Harm[se] Labuschagne born abt. 1863 and his wife Gertruida Sophia Magdalena Roodt born abt. 1867. They were married on Jan 27, 1891 in Ladybrand, if found the marriage notice on the OFS marriage site on Ancestry24. If anyone has any info on these two family members I will be very grateful. I am not sure where they died so I have not been able to obtain death certificates for them. A researcher was unable to help me but she thinks the one Jan Harm[se]she found that was born in Pearston on Dec 4, 1863 might be the one I am looking for, but unfortunately she could not find his baptismal/birth records. She said the entry was there but no document. Not sure if someone on the list can help me with this query. The closest link I could find so far is a family that came from Graaff Reinett and settled in Ladybrand. So his parents could have been Jan Harm Labuschagne born 1838 and Clara Isabella du Bruyn[or Klara Isaballa de Bruin] I found a death notice on the OFS NAAIRS site not sure if this could be Clara/Klara - Depot VAB - REF No. B1811 - dated 1901 - if anyone can look this up for me I would be most grateful.
