Searching for information about the Burns family of Morgan County, Alabama. Henry Burns was in Morgan County by 1830 and died prior to 1859 when his estate was being settled. His son Hezekiah married Mary Ann Ruthledge. Hezekiah died early and left Mary Ann with four small children, one of which is John M., my great grandfather. John M. married Rebecca Louisa Toten/Tooten in Marshall County, AL in 1860.
