Searching for the burial site of James Carlisle. Born about 1839. During the Civil War enlisted from Orwell, Vermont, in Co. A 11th Vermont Infantry. MWIA on June 23, 1864 at the battle of the Weldon Railroad south of Petersburg VA. Died 6/25/1864. Not listed as buried in any of the National Cemeteries. His remains may have been returned to Vermont for burial at or near Orwell, Vermont. Anybody heard of him and knows where he is buried?
