Does anyone have any information on James (J.W. or Jim) Martin (b: 3/5/1839; d: 7/25/1891) and his wife, Sarah Jane Cain Martin (b: 1/18/1843; d: 3/31/1927). They are my great grandparents and lived in Casey County in the Mt. Olive or Walltown/Grove Ridge area and, at one, time lived in Barren County, Kentucky. Jim is buried at Cavalry Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery on Cavalry Ridge in Casey County. Sarah Jane is buried on their family farm on Hatter Road in Casey County. Their children were: William M. (Bill)(married Serena Jane Byrd), John, Margaret (married Ezra Taylor), Ida (married a Snow), Elizabeth (married a Salyers), Mary, and Wesley (married Bessie Rigney). Jim was believed to be a logger at one time in his life. Contact: connied05@alltel.net. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
