Recently I found two newspaper articles, both undated but suspect they are about 100 years old, on a land claim in East McKeesport. In brief it states: L.A. Brunson, a businessman of East McKeesport, with several other persons, is trying to establish his claim to about 850 acres if the most valuable land in Hays borough and West Homestead....The land, it is claimed, was acquired by the late Colonel George McLaughlin through a colonial right bestowed upon him during the French and Indian war by the British government...There are eight heirs to the property, among them being L.A. and Joseph Brunson, B Irwin and J. Linhart, Mrs Joseph McDonald and William McDonald". The name Brunson was also spelled Bronson. Seeking any information on the Bronson family. Thanks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
