My Grandfather, John J. Keating was born in Ireland (Thurles or Curraheen) in about 1865. He was married in New York City to Anna Fitzsimmons and had their first child,Stephen, my father in 1897. I have been unable to locate names of their parents, brothers or other means to find my ancestry farther back. I was told he came to New York with a brother but no-one knows his name.
