TrewinI am trying to find out information in relation to the parents of Catherine Sampson, nee Goodfellow, born at Marrabel in South Australia on 9 February 1898. I believe that her mother’s name was Hetwig (Hetty) Adolphe. My grandmother’s (Catherine) father I believe was Peter Goodfellow. In addition I would like to research my late Mother’s father, Hugh Hardy Sampson and his parents information. He was a twin and his sister’s name was Alma. In addition I would also like information on The Rev. James Trewin, who raised Hugh Hardy Sampson as his son. My grandfather took his name Trewin as his own surname for much of his short life. My grandmother referred to her surname as “Trewin-Sampson”. Please advise of what assistance you are able to provide, as I am writing a family biography of my mother and grandmother and it would greatly assist to know more of their family history. It would be great if you could inform me of what ship each of the above listed arrived in Australia and where they came from.
