I would like to hear from anyone who knew my mother, Viola Mead and her famiy. My mother was born in Blacksburg, Virginia on June 20, 1910, I believe. She had one brother William who drowned. Another, her younger, was named, Emmett. Her mother's maiden name was Morton, either Ella Sue or Emma Sue. Her first husband, my father, was Charles T. Hughes (he may have been born William Henry Hughes) was born in Hollins, Virginia. Her second husband was Lee Ward. She died in Ithaca, NY in 1966.
