Hi! My name is Wayne Vollmer and I live in Ontario , Canada. I am searching for the birth place or the ancestral town of 3 sisters. Anna Maria Pfeiffer, Theresa Pfeiffer and Franciska Pfeiffer. Their Parents were Michael Pfeiffer and Catharine Stuber. Two of the sisters, Theresa and Anna Maria emigrated from Bremen to Canada after first arriving in New York U.S.A. the 20th of May 1862 on Board the ship "Isabella". Anna Maria was born about 1836, Theresa was born December 1st 1839 and Franciska was born about 1844. Anna Maria emigrated with her husband Joseph Hoetzel and a 2 year old daughter. Theresa emigrated with her husband John Baumann. They emigrated with another couple Joseph and Barbara Gutscher whom I believe were friends possibly from the same village.In Canada they all practiced the Catholic religion. According to my local newspaper when Theresa died in 1933 her birth place was listed as near Passau, Germany. Could it have been Pausa ( a minor spelling error? ) I look forward to hearing from any one with information to share. Thank you.
