TEXAS, Angelina County, Lufkin My maiden name is Yates. I am checking to see if there is anyone looking for or who have finished a search on my maternal grandfather. My mothers maiden name is SCHMIDT. I know her mothers name & her fathers partial name plus sister & half siblings. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. Georgia Marie Schmidt Yates(my father) Ashton(2nd husband) Her father Edmond(Edmund..some say Edwin) Brown (middle name) Schmidt(surname) He had 3 sons by a previous marriage. If I remember ther names correctly,they are... E.B (Junior I guess) Orrin (sp. Orren) and Marvin Then he married my grandmother Hazel Marie Benson(maiden). They had my mother Georgia Marie (Dec.1946) & Mary Ann Schmidt (Oct.1948?) I was told he died when my mother was around 3yrs old,but don't know how.
