DELL : HOWARD | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Query Text: |
JOSEPH HOWARD b. circa 1808 Herts, England - Transported to NSW Australia in 1837. (Aboard the Asia V). He received his Ticket of Leave in 1842 and 'Certificate of Freedom' on 2 September 1844. This meant he was able to leave Australia and go where he wished. The reality was that he could not afford to go anywhere, let alone return to his family in England. By this time, his wife was contemplating marriage to James Dell, having already given birth to two more children since Joseph had left. Joseph worked as a 'labourer' until he died on 19 September 1874, of severe bronchitis in Pyramul (nr. Mudgee), NSW Australia. Any news of what happened to him at any time whilst he was in Aus' will be valuable to me. Ron. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
