Searching for information on the Micajah Pruett family. He married Permelia/Pamelia Jane Hammons 20 January 1848, Roane County, Tennessee. On back of her marriage license is written "married in the home of Absalom Hammons." What was the relationship was he her father? grandfather? After 1850 they moved to Kentucky for a short time and then on to Illinois settling in Fayette County. They had nine children, William Calvin; born in TN.; Albert Riley, born KY, md. Lucinda Alice Brown; Jesse Green; David K.; Edwin; Margaret; Betsy who md. Jeduthan Mahon; Sarah Jane who md. John C. Hughs and Wiley who md. Nora P. Brown, probably a sister to Alice. Remainder of children after Albert, all born Fayette Co., IL. Some of the grandchildren may have lived in Terre Haute, Indiana. Would like to hear from descendants of this family. Need much help. Thank you.
