Bell, Blessingame ,Clarke Looking for information about GGGrandparents Harrison Bell (1812-1860 or1870?) Bells moved from South Carolina. Harrison appeared in Jackson Co. Alabama census where he was married to an Elizabeth Clarke 1831 Jackson Co Alabama. Harrison and Elizabeth had son, Andrew Thomas Bell(1835-1915),who was born in 1835 in Jackson Co. Alabama. Elizabeth either died or divorced Harrison and moved to Bedford Co Tennessee before 1837? Next, Harrison is listed in the Madison Co. Alabama census. There he married twice first Eleanor S. Clarke (m. 9-18-1837) and then Caroline Ruth Blessingame (m.3-19-1846). Caroline had a daughter named Ruth who later married Andrew Thomas. The next we hear of the Bells is the marriage of Andrew Thomas Bell to Ruthy Caroline Blessingame Bell (b.1842-1904) in Bedford county Tennessee on September 22, 1862. Trying to find out what happened to Elizabeth Clarke Bell death or divorce? Who was Ruthy Caroline Blessingame real father and mother Caroline maiden name? What happened to Harrison Bell after 1850 did he die or marry again and start a 4th family as rumoured? Any help appreciated my father 87 would love to solve these mysteries of his families past! cdbutner@charter.net or conniebluesadie@yahoo.com | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
