"Seaman" is the version of the name of my mother's side of family. They came over from the Slovak area of the Austrio-Hungarian Empire in the 1880s-1890s via Ellis Island. Does anyone have a guess what the original slovic name would be. Also, my mother's family was Greek Catholic, does that help identify a name or area where they might have been from?
