ISO biological relatives of my deceased father. He was born April 17 1937 in Calgary Alta. Birthname: Kenneth Arthur LaVenture. Adopted as a small baby-I belive taken home from hospital he was adopted by Jack(James)Hudson Shortt and Elsebe Violet Shortt>nee Kirkpatrick- Adoptees' name changed to James Douglas Shortt,(this is belived to have been an intra family adoption)with birth mom possibly cousin or sister to Elsebe Kirkpatrick.I belive Elsebe had had 6 sisters and 1 brother and many other cousins and relatives throughout Alta. at this time. The Kirkpatricks were/are a Metis family and chances are good bio mom was aborigional or metis. Adoption was finalized in early August in 1938 in Southern Calgary. Health info definetley wanted and family connection sought by deceased adoptees' children and grandchildren. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
