John Hoffie born 6 Feb 1876 Edinburgh. First married Thomasina Tomlin in 1899. Wife died in 1901 after which he married Margaret Lauder in 1902. They left UK between 1902 and 1904 as their daughter Margaret was born in York County Toronto in Jun 1904. They then appear in Wayne County Michigan in each census year from 1910 to 1930.
