Looking for any information on John Shanks who lived in Missouri around the mid 1800's. He married Elizabeth Bailey and had the following 8 children: Charles, Mabel(Iva Lee), Bessie, Lewis(Luke), Minnie, Pearl, Martha, and Latitia(died as baby). Elizabeth Bailey's brothers/sisters were Wooster, George, John, Kane, (2 other brothers names unknown), Ann, Josephine (died of consumption before reaching womanhood), and Ettie. Elizabeth Bailey's mother was Hannah Hayes from Cork County in Ireland. Elizabeth married Jack Tyler in 1911 and was granted a dissolution of marriage after jack came up missing for 7 Years and was declared dead. John Shanks worked as a railroad conductor in Missouri and who's father was a traveling evangelist. He left one day in 1904 on a train bound for N.E. Oklahoma. He was never heard from again.
