I am searching for information regarding my grandfather, Daniel Lewis Austin. I believe his date of birth was October 14, 1900. I have very little information regarding his family, as they were estranged (possibly because of my grandfather's marriage to my grandmother). My grandfather moved away from his family home to live in New Orleans, LA. I believe his father's name was Manual Austin, and his mother's may be something like Rose Dawkins. At one time, they lived in South Carolina (likely Chester, South Carolina). I have one document of draft registration for my grandfather giving a Chester P.O. box in 1918. Allegedly, there were also family members with names such as Wilmoth (perhaps another spelling) and Gladden.
