 I am searching for information on William McMillan who was born around 1770 in Pittsylvania County, VA. He married Ruth, the daughter of Thomas Dillard & Ruth Goad. They had 12 children, born in Patrick County, VA between 1802 & 1823. William was the only known child of Thomas McMillan who immigrated from Scotland before the Revolutionary War. He was killed in the Battle of Trenton or earlier during the lead-up to the French & Indian War.
