I am looking for any information on my gggfather JASPER YELLUT TULLIA born in 1832 in Co. Clare Ireland. He arrived in Australia under a black cloud and I have been unable to find out how he arrived here. He may have travelled by ship to SOUTH AUSTRALIA during the gold rush, then travelled to PORT PHILLIP between 185o's and 1877, then returned to NSW to be married to ESTHER REBECCA STEEL in MT HOPE NSW on 27 Nov 1877. He was a teacher & spoke at least six languages. He was a reporter with THE HILLSTON SPECTATOR and had a column under the name VERNAX. He may have been a REMITTANCE MAN as family legend says he went to Italy & wanted to marry an Italian girl. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
