Am looking for marriage record and license for Edwin Ernest MORTIMER and Laurena L. JOHNS, Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY in Jun 1835. Would like any information on Edwin and Laurena (also referred to as Laurel, Laura, and Laurie). She was born 1812 in Virginia, according to census information after her marriage. I do not know her parents or any of her family and would love to hear from someone who has information on them. Her oldest son, William Henry MORTIMER (b. 1840; d. 1923) m. Elizabeth Walker and farmed near Russellville, Logan Co., KY. He served in the Confederate Army and also was a shoemaker.
