My mum (61) has just found out that the parents that had brought her up are not her real ones! She ws told that she is in fact of Irish origin. Her father was called Charles "Chuck" Feeley an American GI who lived in Alabama. Her mother was called Pauline Margarite. (we do not know if this is a surname or a middle name) My mum was brought up a christian but has been told she should of been brought up a stout catholic. There is no more information as her parents that bought her up are now deceased. My mum has no medicl records before the age of two. She was brought up in a mansion in County Wicklow called Tankersley mannor. The man who owned it was called AJ George. One of the maids was called Eileen. My mum was bought back to England at the age of 9 and bought up in the North of England. Although it was said she was born in Burton-on-sea in a private nursing home. We are also believed to have strong family links to Towey and my mum's real mum is surposed to have links with roscommon and the west of Ireland. My mum is desperate to seek out whether she has family and to discover her roots. She has developed a severe case of psorisis which is believed to be hereditry. Any one with any information. Please contact me in the strictist confidence. hope you can help. Serena. There are no records to state that mum was officialy adopted but was told. She does not look like any of her suposed family members either and was always treated in secret for any medical ailments. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
