Otis/Tribe - I am looking for the family of Rose Kalamaha`ahe`o Otis Tribe. Originally from the island of Maui, the town of Lahaina. Apparently when she was still a youth Queen Liliu`okalani heard her playing her ukulele and singing and took her to live with her at Washington Place, on the Island of Oahu. (Her residing at Washington Place on Oahu has been confirmed through the Federal Census.) It was there that she met and married my Great Grandfather, Leopold William Tribe, an immigrant from England. I know that she played the role of the Queen in an opera, sang on cruise ships between the islands and California with Emma Busch. Unfortunately, she and my Great Grandfather divorced and all information regarding Rose was lost, to include her final resting place or disposition. I have also extensively searched for information on my great grandmother using Ancestry.com.
