DAVID SAMSON/SAMPSON b. 1771 d. 14 Jan 1832 b. Stockdale, Pike Co. OH David SAMSON married circa 1790 Sarah BROUSE b. Apr 1770 in either Frederick or Bath, VA. Sarah died 9 Jun 1848 and is buried in the Stockdale Cemetery, Pike Co., OH. They apparently had 9 children: James B. m. Margaret BRADFORD; Abigail m. Littleton BRADFORD; Ralph Ezra m. Hulda BROWN; David Jr. m. Nancy BENNETT; Samuel m. Jane McDOWELL; Lucinda m. Stephen SLAUGHTER; Sarah m. John SLAUGHTER; William m. Elizabeth B. BEAUCHAMP; and Elizabeth m. William SLAUGHTER. It is said that David Samson may have been the David Samson b. 31 Mar 1771 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co., MA., a great-great grandson of Abraham SAMPSON (in Duxbury, MA by 1638 and likely first cousin of Pilgrim Henry Samson) and a son of Isaac III and Mary CASWELL SAMPSON who are listed in the GSMD Five Generation Project books on STANDISH (Vol. 14) and ALDEN (Vol. 16 Part 1). Does anyone have documentation of any sort connecting David SAMSON (who married Sarah BROUSE) to Isaac and Mary CASWELL SAMPSON of Plymouth Co., MA? The information is needed for the work-in-progress “Abraham Sampson Descendants” genealogy posted on www.PilgrimHenrySamsonKindred.org. Any other information about David and Sarah BROUSE SAMSON’s descendants (with sources if possible) would also be appreciated.
