Looking for information on my great grandparents, Robert Martin and Elizabeth Robertson. He was a stone mason and died in Edinburgh in 1897. They had eight children; Alexander Martin 1853, Ann Martin 1842, William Urquhart Martin 1837, David Martin 1843, Isabella Martin Sutherland 1840, Elizabeth Martin McKenzie 1846, Anne Martin Grant 1851, and Mary Martin Simpson 1849. W.U. Martin married Isabella McGregor. Robert Martin's parents were David Martin 1773-1856, born in Ireland, and Ann Yule 1776-1857. David Martin's parents were John Martin and Susan Bell. Ann Yule's parents were Thomas (Yuill) Yule, born 1741 and Mary Fraser born 1745. Thomas (Yuill) Yule's parents were John Yuill, born 1708 and Janet Ure, born 1712. Elizabeth Robertson's parents were Johnston Robertson, 1763, and Isabella Burnet, 1770. Their parents were (his) Alexander Robertson, 1734 and Margaret Macky, 1736; and (her) Robert Burnet, 1740 and Isabel Smith, 1748. Would like to contact any descendents in any country.
