Looking for any descendents of Richard NIXON born c 1825 in Ireland.His parents were Robert & Elizabeth NIXON,nee MORROW. They came to Western Australia in 1831 on the ship Egyptian.His father died & his mother remarried Richard BETTS in 1837. Richard came to South Australia in 1853 with his stepbrother Charles BATES (BETTS)(my GGGrandfather). Charles returned to WA & came back to SA in 1859.Richard was living in Mount Clear,VIC(from old letter)in 1889 when told of his stepfathers death. Richard NIXON married Bridget KING in Buninyong,VIC & had children Robert 1857,John 1859 ,Elizabeth 1865 (married Nathaniel THOMAS & went to London area,ENG)& Mary Jane 1869 (married Edward HARRIS).
