I am the last Florida BROOKS of my tree still alive so I'm hoping to be able to reach out to extended relatives. My gfather Charlie Benjamin BROOKS b.1909 Lake Butler, Bradford County Florida his mother Minnie LLOYD b.1889. Charlie was born as a LLOYD and later in life changed his last name to match his gparents Joseph Robert BROOKS b. abt 1858 and Elizabeth (Lizzie) CONNER b.abt1867. Josephs parents were John Alford BROOKS b. abt. 1831 and Sarah Ann PARRISH B. abt 1833. Both are buried in Fort Call Cemetery in Lake Butler Florida.All names mentioned i do believe were born in Florida except John Alford may have been born in Georgia.
