I am looking for any information on Margaret A. Hinds (1874-??), daughter of John Calvin Hinds and Josephine Bohannon. She lived in the Clear Creek area of Madison County. She gave birth to my grandfather Marcus Sylvester Hinds Oct 10, 1894. His father is unknown. Her mother died in childbirth in 1879, and Margaret, her father and her brother William lived with her Bohannon grandparents (Joseph T. and Cynthia Whitely) in the 1880 census. In 1900, Margaret, her son Marcus, William and his wife Maggie Peace were still there. John Calvin had remarried and was living with his new wife, Winnie Isabelle Harp. In 1901 Will was listed as a landowner on the school enumeration. Maggie Peace Hinds died in 1903 and was buried in the Hindsville cemetery. William evidently remarried - I have found a 1999 query from a Steve Hinds, g grandson of William, but the e-mail no longer works. In 1910, after the grandparent's passing, Margaret and Marcus had moved in with Benjamin and Jane Robinson where Margaret was listed as "wife's companion". I can find no further record of her although LDS records indicate she may have married an unknown Youngblood. My grandfather Marcus married Inez Coger in 1914, farming first at Spring Valley in Washington County, then moving in 1923 to Springfield MO.
