Anyone who knows anything about the story of my adoption: I was born on or about 1/19/1970 to Vera Ross and Thomas Cestare in Kokomo, IN at Howard County Hospital. I have light brown hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. My adopted family (maiden name) is Browning. I seems as though I was kept for approximately two weeks before placed through Welfare, and it is alleged that I was named. The only aspect of the name I know is the last - Cestare. It seems as thought Vera's father was the driving force behind the adoption. Vera's brother had numerous birth announcements for the same time frame for the birth of a daughter Krista Cheree Ross. This might be fictitious, along with efforts to cover up my birth. There is also a sister to Vera, Carol, who may have a part in all this - I wonder if Carol is my birth mother rather than Vera. In 1975, Vera had a daughter - Vera Roberts from her marriage to Eugene Roberts. Vera's parents are/were Harry and Vera (Crandall) Ross from what I can tell so far. The attorney involved was Jim Winslow. My professional involvement with family law causes me to be suspicious that I may have been a private or black market adoption, although Welfare was utilized for the home study. Mostly, I want to know what people look like and what the story is surrounding the adoption. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
