My name is Catherine Jasmin Soto Rivera; Rivera being my married name. Born on October 26, 1975 in West Islip New York: Good Samaritian Hospital. My birth name was Katherine Jasmine Vargas Garcia. My birth mother's name is Olga Vargas and birth father is Moises Garcia.From Puerto Rico. I was a private adoption. Lived and was raised in Brentwood Long Island, New York. My great aunt Sarah Rivera who use to sell clothes out of her car, located in Brentwood New York, Suffolk County. found my birth mother(Olga Vargas) and was told that she was looking to give me up for adoption. She then contacted my adopted mother Elsa Soto Aquino , adopted father Ricardo Soto Collazo and let them know that their was a women giving up a baby girl. I was about 3 months old. I do know that I have 3 older siblings. Older brother who was about 2 yrs. old at the time, 2 older sisters about 4yrs old and 6 yrs. old. I was told that my older sister was crying alot when my adoptive parents took me. They did inform me that she should remember what happened. I was also told that my birth mother never showed up to sign the papers in court. My adoptive parents did hire a private detective traced her to Chicago, but when he got there she was gone again. I also know that my biological aunt ; birth mother's sister lived in California and wanted to adopt me, but my biological mother didnot want to keep me in the family. Since my biological mother never showed up to sign the papers I had to wait 7 yrs to be legally adopted. The judge granted the adoption on grounds of abandonment. I do know that my biological mother had light brown hair, towards blonde, hazel eyes and so did my older brother. My older sisters had dark hair and eyes like me. I would like to find my biological siblings and get a family medical history being that I do have children now. Any help trying to achieve this would be greatly appreciated. I did grow up as an only child. Now at the age that I am at, and having a family I would love to meet my siblings. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
