I am looking for the ancestors of Arthur McGuigan (born in Harney, MD on Dec, 28, 1801 and died near there on Aug. 9, 1880). He was married to Elizabeth Cornell (born March 1814, died Jan. 4, 1859). They married in 1830 and had at least 12 children, the last born in 1856. I believe his father was Arthur McGuigan (married Nov. 1, 1796 in Frederick, MD, to Elizabeth Good). I am trying to confirm that the latter Arthur is the father of the 1801 Arthur. Also, I am looking to find what part of Northern Ireland the latter Arthur emigrated from, why, and when?
