Amended query: Sent one earlier last month (June) and found other info. Therefore, new query: I am searching the family of John DONALDSON and his wife, Rachel Stockley. We have found four sons of that family: Robert S., (b1828, d 1893), served in Union Army during CW; another brother, James H., (b 1835); also served in Union Army; third was Stockley (later spelled as Donelson), and lastly, wILLIAM Donaldson. Wm was born in Fairfax County, VA ca 1807. Married Mary _____; moved to Limestone County, KY pbly prior to 1834. Mary, the wife of William, died in childbirth on 2 April 1834 in Limestone County, KY; the dau survived, Mary Jane Donaldson, b 2 April 1834. William married again in KY; the family then moved from KY to Bureau County, Ill. The dau who was orphaned at birth, Mary Jane Donaldson, married in Illinois, in June 1856 to Harvey Cummings.
