I am searchin for info on my maternal grandparents and family. My grandfather was George Marcum, m. to Matilda Vertrees. The;y lived in or near Stithon, KY or Fort Knox, as known today. George died May 1924, Matilda died Nov 1913. Children were Jake Marcum, died 1940, Leonard d. 1903, John Henry d. Marach 1906, Martin d. March 1914, Maggie d. Oct 1918, Carrie d. Aug 1976 and my mother Mary Lucille d. Dec 1977. Geo Dewey, another son d. 1955, he was married to Mary Daley. They had 3 daughters, Nellie, Isabel and Mabel. Any asistance you could give me would be greatly appreciated. My Mother and her sister, Carrie were raised in an orphanage in Louisville, Ky.
