Hi there I am trying to find out more about my gggrandfather Patrick John Finn b1820 Bruff Ireland? ,Patrick was a soldier in the 1st Royal Regiment of Foot Royal Scots. he was courtmartialed for desertion in 1849 shipped to Western Australia on the Mermaid where he met and married Margaret Devine in 1851 .They had 7 children.Margaret died in NSW after she was remarried to Peter McCarthy O'Sullivan.I believe that all their children came to NSW.
