My great great grandparents William Leddin and Johanna Condon came to Australia with their 7 children in 1857. Their two oldest had come earlier. William's parents were Patrick Leddin and Margaret Gleeson. Any information about their families back earlier would be appreciated. Also confirmation that the first Leddin came from Prussia in the 1690s to fight with Ireland. He was a mercenary. The name is supposed to have originated from the town of Leddin in Germany, north west of Berlin
