I am trying to find the parents of my ancestor Robert Hughey who was born 1807 in Pennsylvania. Family folklore says the Hughey's came to the United States colonies sometime after 1700 but before 1750 from either northern ireland or scotland. I have no information on who Roberts parents were or if he had siblings. I know his first wife, my ancestor, was named Jane, born around same time, but have no information on her last name. Robert and his family moved to ohio sometime around 1830 or shortly after. If any of this sounds familiar to you please contact me. I can't seem to get beyond Robert. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
