I am a descendant of Barbara Rankel and George Rankel. I had an Aunt Frances who was the oldest of 9 children born to them in Washington Indiana. We understand that George came over from the Alsace Lorraine Region of Germany/France. Barbara was related to some Baums and Bakers but her maiden name was Mangin. She passed in 1979 and Frances died a few years later. It seems we may have similar ancestors. | |||||||||||||||||||||
