WIELGUS [I, Joan STRUS BENARICK SHEDLOCK, married Wielgus] In Bayonne-Wielgus WIELGOS & Wielgosz; Stanley & BRZEGOWSKI. Wielgus WIELGOS & Wielgosz 1876 came from Kielce Poland & went to Hudson County NJ. Zofie Wielgus Bezyvicki 1880 came from Klikowa Poland Russia [Tarnow-parish of 'Klikowa] KIELCE, a historic Polish city in the old traditional region of Malopolska, was not in the Austrian Crownland of Galicia but rather in the Russian Partition of Poland. I am not knowledgeable enough to provide you with any advice regarding KIELCE. However, KLIKOWA (in the Tarnow administrative district and gmina/township and Roman Catholic Parish) is no where close to Kielce and was certainly not in the Russian Partition of Poland. I think it might be KLIKAWA (or some other place) which was in the Russian Partition. However, there were plenty of WIELGORZ/WIELGOS/WIELGOS~/WIELGUS/WIELGUS~/WIELGUSZs in South East Poland. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
