Hugh Flooney , was born abt. 1830s, in County Down,Ire. according to the civil war information. According to the pension information, he was married in New York City,and had children: Joseph -born abt.1874, John Flooney, born abt.1879, Katherine Fluney-born abt.1876, and Isabela Flooney, born abt.1878.He had been living in Philadelphia, Pa-and was a SGT.in the Co. K., 69th Reg., but was wounded at Wilderness, Va.He died 06/05/1903, at the Dayton National Home, Ohio,a home for the disabled. Also, there is a Catherine E. Shelem mentioned in the pension information, who could have been his daughter. She also, lived in Phil., Pa., in 1904.Does anyone know who his Irish family-parents, and siblings names were?And where he had lived in Co. Down, Ire?
